March To May

With rich vocal harmonies, riveting lyrics and haunting melodies, March to May’s live performances are heart-wrenchingly captivating and unabashedly raw. In April 2015, they released their critically acclaimed debut EP, The Water’s Edge, to a sold-out show on a historic steamship, drawing comparisons to acts like The Civil Wars, Damien Rice, the Swell Season, and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. Their single “Embers” topped Y’allwire’s charts for ten straight weeks, prompting Chuck Taylor, former Sr. Editor at Billboard Magazine, to call it “a song that we can all relate to…all that’s missing here is a fading sunset and a requisite glass of red wine. Cheers… to that love we shall never forget.” In November 2015, just two and a half years after forming as a band, they headlined and filled the house of one of Seattle’s most prestigious venues, The Triple Door. After successfully funding a Kickstarter campaign this spring, they are currently recording their first full-length album. This October, they are one of twelve official showcase artists representing their 14-state Western region at this year’s FAR-West Folk Alliance conference.
